Rapid Seismic Vulnerability and Risk Assessment of Kermanshah Historic Mosques

Background: In this research a rapid vulnerability and risk assessment at territorial level is performed. Methods: The methodology used, initially proposed for ancient masonry churches, extended applied to ten historic mosques in Kermanshah city. method could be considered as preliminary approach of structures, refers LV0 method, since the used requires simple qualitative information. It involves application three distinct tools; exposure, seismic hazard, vulnerability. Results: comparisons among obtained results, by considering also damages suffered during last earthquakes war blasts, validate proposed, capable providing scoring mosques. As known, through kind approach, important information order manage mitigate certain asset. results show that all has medium earthquake condition. Emad e Doleh mosque most vulnerable case with 34. Navab located on hazardous place. Furthermore, map indices are presented investigated Conclusion: useful ranking priorities defining an interventions plan examined detail additional quantitative investigations carried out more refined approaches.
